I am just wanting to know what kind of paint to use for a fish. I see all types of paint but being a begginer im not sure what kind to get. I see things like acrylic, and water, but idk which one should be used and if its neither of those then what should i use. Just one more thing does anyone have a paint schedule for this fish. Thanks alot Mikey

I have tried most of the paints and in my opinion I like the polytranspar and lifetone lacquer based paints best, water based paints were OK but I just simply like the lacquer based the best, but be sure to ventilate adequately. Try looking on www.lonestartaxidermy.com for a paint schedule for the bass, he has quite a few schedules on there.

Honestly I would use water based. Especially starting out. Clean up is MUCH easier. Plus it is safer. McKenzie's has a fish paint kit. It has mostly basic fish colors, and a basic schedule that looks OK. After your 1st fish then you can start experimenting

I use water based paints and I am very happy with the results, and like deer4ager said clean up is a breeze.
