i was wondering how the best way to preserve one would be, were to make the cut were to put the dp(if needed). never done one before just wondering?

I have heard that you can just soak them in "Preserves it" and paint. Not sure though

"Go to the bait store or aquarium store in your area and buy one. Split it up the middle underneath and remove meat from tail and the guts. Soak in borax solution, rinse,glue seam,positon the legs, let dry and paint."

Down here in Louisiana we use a lot of crawfish in habitats and I have always done them just like andyb explained above.
